The Tinker or Irish cob is a medium-sized, piebald horse native to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Piebald means that the horse has multiple colors, almost always white with brown or white with black. The Tinker is known as a strong, calm and reliable animal.
Features:
During winter, the animal has a thick coat that protects it from the cold. In summer, the coat is short and shiny. The mane and tail are always long and the Tinker has full socks: long hairs on the lower legs.
Tinkers have a broad head with large eyes and small ears. The forelegs and thighs are muscular. Because they are so sturdily built, they can easily carry an adult. Tinkers sometimes have what is called a moon eye. With a moon eye, the eye lacks pigment in the iris and turns light blue to white.

The Tinker is one of our own favorites of the Falabellas Key ring for Equestrian. We found a beautiful furry black and white spotted coat to make the most beautiful Tinkers out of these.
